KhymChanur: (2.2.7, stand ToME) If I move across the wilderness while, say, carrying an ancient dragon corpse, with speed around -400 to -600, it takes me days to get from one town to the other, but I arrive at the next town without having gotten any hungrier than if I was travelling at normal speed. So the game seems to make you hungrier based on how many wilderness squares you pass through, not how much game time has passed. Or maybe huge negative speeds slow down your hunger rate, since large postive speeds increase your hunger rate?
NeilStevens: Lowering or raising speed brings diminishing returns. -400 isn't all that different from -20.
MassimilianoMarangio: It is true that you need more food at higher speed rates. See /spoiler
