Derakon: I found a Metal Cap of Ugliness [3, -2] (-2). Note specifically that it was not cursed. Waiting beyond all reasonable time for it to pseudo-ID got me nothing, so I finally burned a scroll on it to find out what it is. I admit that this is hardly conclusive; I could well have just been very unlucky. However, it's a sufficiently odd item (bad ego-type with no curse) that I felt it was worth reporting anyway.

NeilStevens: You sure you didn't read a scroll of remove curse while it was unidentified?

Mmm...possibly, possibly. I still feel it should pseudo-ID as something. We just don't have a name for objects that are not worth using, and yet not cursed. Perhaps just {bad} as a new category?

EricDerKonig: Shouldn't bad egos pseudo-ID as {worthless}?

NeilStevens: If it's cursed, but if he uncursed it I think that threw off the routines.
