BugReport618 (2.3.3) Black screen (empty) at startup.

I just downloaded the windows 2.3.3 version from the site, unpacked it, and ran it. I was presented with a totally black window (well, actually 3 black windows) except for the "cursor" the one pixel wide box (that you can highlight the player with in the options). Initially it's in the middle near the bottom of the window like it would be on any other variant, but when I press a key it moves near the top left (could be where other variants would ask if a new character would be male or female).

It looks like everything works except that no colors besides black is used
