ToME WikiMrConceit: I wanted to do a theme-difficult character. Unbeliever who decided that magic stuff looked neat. This should be doable via FF, though there would be many problems to solve. You can gain various stuff, and when you train it, Antimagic is set to 0 and the field is gone, as per spoilers say. The problem specifically comes in with Gods and prayer. Now that you have no antimagic field and no antimagic skill, you can choose a god. I chose Eru. I even was given a god quest, which I completed. Up to this point I had no spirituality, and obviously no prayer. So when I found the relic he did his normal spiel about giving me prayer skill, but since my prayer multiplier is effectively 0, I still have no prayer. I suggest that when you choose a god as an aethiest, it gives you Spirituality and Prayer in the standard fashion on the skill screen, just set to 0 skill level. Well, normally it doesn't have to do this, but for unbeliever... I realize this one is a bit odd, but if you CAN do it in the game, it shouldn't be buggy.
NeilStevens: maybe doing a god quest should give you an 0.1 multiplier if you're below that, sure. It's not buggy though; it's just not very useful to you, heh.
MrConceit: Little usefulness would indeed be something like .1. But saying he "trained me up" when I don't even HAVE an entry for prayer seems buggy to me. But whatever you say I guess. You the boss.
NeilStevens: Actually I'm not the boss. Maybe DG would be convinced to bump it higher, you never know, heh.
MrConceit: Higher than 0 would be appreciated, I had to give up the idea of that theme character for now. Well, if I want to use gods I did.
ShrikeDeCil: What about hacking the files? I mean, this character is a lark already, yes? Does editing the p_info.txt file (and dumping the raw files) do the job?

MrConceit: Thanks, I might eventually do something like that. But "challenge" type characters are most fun if you can post them. And I wouldn't feel comfortable posting a character where I went fast and loose with hacking the files.
