Introduction
It was one careless alliance, as unique to me as the coming of death. It was the last care I did not have. Cares are no longer of the world I can see. This thing has me; I know not if I am more than an eye and an arm for its writing. I knew not what I was before it came, and I may only know myself by observing my way - when it would allow. What I remember of before, of my before, of me - I have seen it kill that so oft that I only know each of my new deaths as new because it is accompanied by countless deaths of unfamiliar and strange beings. No, death is no longer unique as the living find it; it now permeates me as blood once did. My alliance is the only unique: it is the end that has past.
Many pages it has written with my arm, and though it has possessed me to scribe so, I find nothing in my present exit from this task. Had I fear left, it would express now in me of what is to come. With my purpose lost as its has been, I face only its focused torment falling upon me, or entire abandon to my entirely dessicated soul. Each new body's soul coursed through me, altering me, sometimes leaving traces of itself as me. Only in the abandon may I seek a way to destroy what fetid attachment binds me to existance. These pages begin as it drew from me the most recent memory before it joined me. They begin with my ultimate folly, when my mind was less keen and ravaged.
Cave Orc
It make me know writing. It say me dead, but me know more than orcs still alive. Know more than it. It say me dead, but me see nose and arms. Dead orcs no see noses. Orcs sleeped in big room. Me orc sleeping, too. Rock floor. Woke up! Sounds from hole. Saw something in hole, wasn't in hole before blink the eyes. Nice shiney armor and pile of booty. Yell for orcs and go grab, but little sword fights at me. Scare me! Bad! It not good! Me want run! Me no run, me stay. Fight sword, hit sword, little sword keep fighting me! Me hack at sword, but sword hit me on arm and on face. Me fall down hurt. Not dead! Yell and fury! HURT! YELL! Up again with shiney on me and stuffs around. Me see dragon through walls and It talk from nowhere. It make me know lots. No orcs now, me not in room. Not cave around room. Not no cave here.

First Departure

Young Black Dragon
Wake up and run and fly! Fly from It! Flying water scare me! RUN! Run through walls to stairs. Get out of wall and sit on bottom of up stairs. Can't sit. Tail? Nose is big and black and scaly!! Arms small and black and scaly! Arms look like dragon! Look like dragon me kill! Fly up stairs!
Get up many stairs and find big rock man, Earth Elemental, right at stairs. It say KILL IT, so me claw with little arms and bite bite with big nose. It say cough on it? Cough? Me cough and green water comes out and hits rock man. Rock melts and is gone. Rock dies? It say we know more now, we Level 15. We know more bad things, Corpse Preservation and Possession, and fighting, Weaponmastery.
Rocks not have blood. Hurt, so fix hurt, but big watery dog comes around corner, Air Hound. Me look around through walls and see more Hounds and in room far away see Ninja and Large Grey Snake and Grey Wraith and Storm Giant and Hell Knight. It say go back down stairs. No kill, me go.
Snakey Spirit Naga across room. Cough at it. Cough and cough and cough. Naga Melts, but drops ring and paper and shiney rocks. It say grab paper "nejfid rogme" and Amethyst Ring. Scroll of Identify say Ring of Strength (+4). Read paper and it makes Dwarven Steel Helm of Seeing better. Me see giants chasing through walls, smashing walls. A Hru. It say Katana is bad and little sword is bad. Drop Katana and little sword and some stick and paper and go up stairs.
See small small level and many Liches. It say back down quick, and me go. Put on Ring of Strength (+4). It tell me what to kill and get and keep and drop. We go up and down and kill and grab. Kill Young Blue Dragon and it say we Level 16. Learn more same stuff.
Doom
We go down and it want to see Azure Amulet on ground. Me go and pick up and ask paper. Paper say Amulet of Doom [-10] (-9). It tell me it not want Doom and say me too dumb to drop. Me try to drop, Doom stick to hand. Me try to throw, it stick to hand! It stuck! Stuck Doom! It laugh and make low noise. Me smash on ground and bite, Doom stay. Drop torches, no torches stick. Drop Doom, Doom stick! Doom bad. Me no like Doom. It say more killing. We go.
To the Next Body
We go up and kill big trolls, Cave Troll and Cave Troll, and get Level 17. See watery dragon, Ethereal Drake. It say KILL! Me cough and cough it scare me! I cough more! And cough and melt drake. Level 18. Drops Cypress Staff, dagger, and Scroll of Identify. Walk over but me hit by weird flash, It say psionic blast. It always say and say in my head. Me get stuff and go back to stair. It say use staff. Me bash stick on ground, It push me to ground. USE! It say USE! It teach me to hold and use stick. Me use and room shakes and crashes. It is Staff of Shake [3|18]. Stick is dumb.
Up and down and read and fight. Find scroll "rogturs nis" and it smashes the wall and floor and things GOOD. It is Scroll of *Destruction*, good destruction. Find orcs! It say KILL! Me no want dead orcs. Me say no kill. It make me kill! It grab me with stones, me no stop moving, no stop killing orcs. Claw and bite until all are dead. It make me eat dead orc! Bite off chunk and chew! Orc taste bad. Orc all dead. Me not know dead orcs, dead orcs. Me kill many orcs but not want kill dead orcs.
Get Level 19 killing more Cave Trolls. Bite and claw and cough. Get Level 20 with more dead Cave Trolls. Get Level 21 kill more trolls. Level 22. Cave Trolls hate coughing. More find and drop and kill and up and down. Cave Trolls again, kill kill kill. Get Level 23. Level 24 killing Mirkwood Spiders. Level 25 killing Ologs.
Find lots of stuff on dead things. Me cannot carry more. Me tell It to carry more. Many weapons. It say no carry, It say smash. Me tell It me like weapons, me want to use! It say me can't use with small arms. Hate dragon arms! Hate dragon body! Me smash all weapons. It say more killing, we go.
Power Scroll of *Identify* say a paper in pack is Parchment titled "Household Magic", and it gives corruptions. It say drop, me drop. See Mature Black Dragon, it say kill. Big dragon, me bite and it bite with bigger nose. Me bite more, me bite better, big dragon falls. We get Level 26. It say we learn enough Weaponmaster, at 30.4. We learn to hit more, Spreading Blows from bite one thing and claw one thing. We go kill more.
Get Ring of Constitution and wear. Many fingers on small arms. See BIG dragon, Ancient Red Dragon. Want to kill big dragon. Me cough and lure it to wall. Big dragon very fast, bites and makes fire. Coughing hurts it more than nose or arms, cough cough cough. Big dragon scares me, me kill big dragon. It YELLS LOUD. Much stuffs on ground, but It say we go get dead dragon. It like dead dragon. Me hide in wall and make hurts go away.
Second Departure
It grab me when me get near big dead dragon and make rock of me, makes me not move. Many deep cave noises loud and HURTS again! NO NOT AGAIN! It take me up and turn me around and dead black dragon lands on ground. Me see it again! Watery smoke flys to me and HURTS through the eyes. HURTS HURT HURT. It pushes me in the big dragon. Me feel big dragon pushing back. It and big dragon crush me and pull and scratch. Big dragon goes away and floor hits hard. Me still awake, but sit on ground. No moving.
Ancient Red Dragon
Wall is rocks. Rocky wall. See wall, see past wall. Walk past wall. No hear wall. Wall no move. It in wall! Stand and fly from wall! Fly through wall! It in wall! It in wall! WALL! It! WALL! IT WALL IT WALL. Get out of wall and close eyes tight and find ground. Me hold ground. Me fall asleep.
Wake and see ground. No wall just ground. Me look at ground. Rocky ground. Me see Red Dragon Bat nearby. It asleep. It hanging on top of room. It no see me. Me look to it, see wall. It in wall. Cough at wall! FIRE come out instead of acid water! Wall is black rocks now. Cough at wall! COUGH! COUGH! Cough at IT!! COUGH! COUGH! Scare wall! Scare It! Confuse It! Blind It! COUGH! Look down at red dragon feet and ground.
It say get out! Get out of maze and out of walls! Fly and find up stairs, not just up and down, up and up! Go up and can't see another up. Go back down, back in mazes and back up. Can't see another up. Up and down, look for up. Find up, and down and up and up.
Find big space! No walls. Cave Orges and Uruks and Half-Orcs. It see sheild and say get Sheild of Deflection. Me say NO! NO in walls! NO IN IT! It makes arms and legs stones and makes me walk to wall, past charging orcs. Arrows hit hide, not hurt much. Get to It! Push against stones and force. NO GO INTO IT! More arrows hit hide. Stand and cough at wall. Orcs die in fire blast. Cough at It! It laugh and make loud deep noise! Orcs scratch at back. Cough at It! More orcs die. Cough and cough! Too many orcs scratching at back! Cough at orcs! All orcs dead. Cough and cough at wall.
Everburning Torch of Protection from It
Stuff all melted on ground. Not Everburning Torch. It no melt. Me get Everburning Torch. Torch no melt, wall no melt. It no melt. Hold torch at wall. It stay. Torch in wall, wall no move. Swing torch at It! Torch through wall! Cough at torch! Cough at wall! Torch scares It. Torch protect me from It. LAUGH! Torch is protection from it! Torch let me go through wall. Me walk through wall, kill Plasma vortex, and get Sheild of Deflection.
Real Walls
It say sheild is good sheild. Me cough at it and kill some Dark Hounds and Ogres and get Level 27. Learn same stuff but Combat not Weaponmastery. Up and down, looking for up. Get a Potion of Wisdom and drink. It says it was good drink. Me not like drink. Up and down.
Find real walls! Cannot walk through walls! Hippogryph and White Wraith in room of real walls! Walk around room, more real walls. Find one wall and walk through. Walk through some walls, no walk through some walls. Sleep in room of real walls. Then find up stairs and go up.
Animal Frenzy
Find a stick, Wand of Summon Animal! Stick makes a 3-Headed Hydra that kills what I tell it! My hydra! Kill! Summon more! White Wolf! They kill Ogrillions! Summon Giant Brown Tick! Giant Red Scorpion! Stick is dead. Dropped stick. Tick and scorpion die. Hydra and wolf are stronger. HA! Aim another stick at wolf! Wolf is gone! Wand of Teleport Away make wolf go away. Me find Everburning Torch of Warmth. Better Protection from It! Throw old torch at it and cough at it. Hydra gets hit by fire cough and gets mad! Me kill hydra.
Town of Clones
Go up stairs and hear strange noise. Large room with long walls and lava. See a Woodsman and cough at it. See Aimless Looking Merchant and cough it dead. Move to nearest shorter wall and it is a real wall! Cannot move through wall! Kill everything in big room, big room mine. Mean-Looking Mercenaries and Battle-Scarred Veterans die. Cold Hounds break through big doors. Kill kill kill.
Find strange doors. Try to bash, but enter room with stuffs on wall. Arnold the Beastly say give him money for axes. His axes are not good. Get out of strange place and find another. Merana say give fate for money. Then say NO FATE! Leave quick and find Merana again in other building! YELL NO FATE! Find Decado the Handsome, with drinks. It speaks again. It say steal Potion of *Enlightenment*. Me try, but get caught! Decado locks door! Me try to kill door! Cough at door! Door not break.
Kon-Dar the Ugly not think me an orc. Me say orc! Kon-Dar sell paper. It say buy Scroll of *Identify*, we buy and paper say Polished Power Dragon Scale Mail of Immunity makes me immune to acid. Me get rid of Amulet of Acid Resistance. Decado in other room, not locked! Me buy Soft Leather Boot of Free Action from Decado! Run to locked door! Still locked. Cough at door. Another Kon-Dar the Ugly not think me orc. Find up stairs and leave strange room.
Time to Run
See Bronze Thunderlord, cough at it. It not melt or die. Me cough and cough, but thunderlord not get hurt. Me bite and claw, but not hurt thunderlord. Thunderlord blinks around room and blinks. It coughs time at me. Me feel very bad. Me sit in wall and try to fix hurts. Me no fix, me try, me no fix. Me run past walls, lure thurnderlord away, run down stairs.
Run Out of Identify
Run up and down stairs and up and up. Find scroll and read, and feel strange things like It around me. Run and run. Drink Potion of Restore Dexterity. It good drink. Read Scroll of *Acquirement*. Shield, Bastard Sword, and Broad Sword fell out of paper.
Run and kill more, drink Potion of Experience. Drink Potion of Intelligence. Drinks like shaman heal, but heal for long time. Meet Ancient Multi-Hued Dragon and fight, but not win. Run away. Too many bites. Read *Identify* for Raal's Tormented Spirits, it have light absorption. Wraiths come from nothing and start hitting me! Me run, run, watery smoke things make me afraid.
Me carry many stuff now and hard to carry more. Me have no identify papers. Me no drink Bubbling Potion! May be poison. Need identify. Drop Shield of Deflection to carry Wooden Ring. Doom! Want to drop doom! Drop Raal's Tormented Spirits for Tortoise Shell Ring. Dropped excellent Bastard Sword for Dilithium Ring. Run run from Jabberwork, run after me. Kill another Mature Black Dragon. Level 29, and no more learning except Possession and Corpse Preservation for It. Drink Potion of Intelligence dragon dropped.
Find Scroll of Identify, it say me carry Ring of Weakness, so drop it. Get Granite Ring. Put Steel Rod Tip on Iron Rod and it is Iron Rod of Lightning Balls. Drop. Grab Jasper Ring. Drop Katana for Battered Book. Drink Potion of Intelligence. Eat Lembas taste like dirt. Drop Cleaver for Dark Green Potion. Found Scroll of *Remove Curse*! DROP DOOM! More and more.
Friendly Body
Go up stairs, see elfs past walls. Run to kill elfs, It say no kill elfs. It say fight big big, Collossus. Me fight and fight big. It big and make many hurts, me fix hurts in walls. Elfs come and fight Collossus. Elfs fight like animals from stick. Elfs make Collossus disappear. Elfs fight Half-Orcs. Me fight orcs. Some elfs die. All orcs dead. Me not dead. Get stick from ground, use stick. Staff of Summon make many things, but not like Wand of Summon Animal. Black Ogres and Lukkak, Ogre Cheiftain. Ogres fight me, me fight ogres, elfs fight ogres. Ogres dead, Lukkak alive. Me kill Lukkak.
It make deep noise, make me look at Lukkak. Me no go in Lukkak! It make noise loud noise. Me run past walls past elfs with Torch. Hold Torch in walls. It stop making noise. Hold Torch. It no make noise. Me go kill many dead deads, Zombies. Cough and bite and claw and cough. Dead deads gone. Me go look at Lukkak. Lukkak dead. It no push me in Lukkak. Me think cough at Lukkak, look at elfs. Elfs get hurt if cough at Lukkak, get mad. Elfs kill many things fast. Kill orcs. No cough at Lukkak.
Me walk to stairs. It stones grab and hurt BRIGHT HURT LOUD! NO! No in Lukkak! It fly smoky watery! Me no run! Me try run, no run! It fly at eyes, big dragon fall hit ground. It push me in dead elf! Many High-Elven Rangers, one elf fades, look at eyes. Me no hurt in elf like hurt in dragons. Me not want fading elf to fade. Elf nose small, arms small, feel dry. Feel sad for elf, feel sad for elfs. Put armors on, and special Halberd and special Large Metal Sheild.
High-Elven Ranger
Elfs try heal hurts like shaman heal hurts. No have hurts. It talk to elfs in elf tongue, no let me talk. Elves try more heal. Sit with elves. One elf walk past walls, like me walk past walls. Feel like ate much things, feel like shaman healed. Not orc now, now elf. Sleep on stone ground. Wake up, sleeping elves. Wake elf, elf say no go. Elves no follow me. Me find up stairs and go up.
See stick on ground, It say stick my identify like Scroll of Identify. Me go to stick. See more elves! See Young Multi-Hued Dragon. Fight dragon. Elf arms and special Halberd not fight good like dragon cough and nose and arms. Hard to kill dragon. Many elves come, kill dragon together. One elf fight bad, many elves fight good. Me only one elf. Elves follow. Me find stick, stick give me new room and Half-Ogres. Staff of Teleportation. Kill Half-Ogres. Hard to kill, hard as one elf. Other elves not in new room. Kill all ogres, see stick followed to new room? Staff of Teleportation? Same staff? See Scroll of Identify, get scroll and use. Find stairs. More and more.
Back to Dragons
Kill Ancient Blue Dragon. It say we go in dragon. Me not like be dragon. Me like elf. It not care. It make low noise. It not laugh. Me scared. Me know It will hurt me, It will put me in dragon. Me shoot arrow at wall. It grab me with stone hand and hurt me. Loud loud noise and pain. See poor dead elf fall. Hurt more and more. Dragon hurt. Dragon fall on ground, me fall on ground. Blue nose on stone ground. Cough at ground. Sparks.
Ancient Blue Dragon
Me no move. It make loud noise, say me will move. Me no move. It grab with stones and move dragon. Me feel moving, me no make dragon move. It make dragon up and down and kill. Me see nose and small arms and sparks, and many dead things. Find and kill demon. DEMON. Glabrezu. Hear more voice, not It voice. Hear different voice. Voice glad to kill Glabrezu. Not remember voice. New voice like killing demon. It like killing demon. Demon bad.
Blasted Wish
It kill Ethereal Hound. We get Level 30 and stop learning Combat at 20.5. Read scroll and it break shiney armor. Scroll of Curse Armor. Blasted Power Dragon Scale Mail of Immunity. Make me MAD.
