During character creation, you can choose from many different races in ToME. Some of these are restricted to only a few professions, and each race as its its own adjustments to a character's stats and abilities. Most races also have intrinsic abilities, which can be accessed via the "U" command.
Experimental character classes are listed in italics and are recommended only for experienced players.
