Profile

I picked up up Angband from somewhere around nine years ago. It was either from some Mac cd with a bunch of games and demos, or I randomly decided to download it from download.com or some such. I don't remember anymore. I do remember that I found it very confusing, and died immediately and couldn't figure out how to get out of the town and into the dungeon. Eventually I discovered the "?" command and then I was set. Well, after an hour or more of reading through all the help files. It became my favorite game by far, exceeding things like Blades of Exile, Warcraft II, Starcraft, etc. Then I discovered Thangorodrim and started trying out variants, such as CthAngband, Kamband, and DrAngband. Then I tried PernAngband, and was mostly hooked. By the time it became ToME, I was totally hooked and completely dropped Angband and all other variants.

Now ToME is my favorite game and dominates other games like the Final Fantasies and Freelancer. And steals considerable time from my studies I should be doing. "Microbiology and Immunology? Nah, my monk is much more interesting."

So I've been playing ToME for a long time, but actually there are a lot of classes I've never really tried. I primarily play haftedmasters, sorcerors, monks, and swordmasters (for playing with sentient weapons).

Current "ToME News"

Just won with Moonleaf, finally. It says Moonleaf V, but it's probably more around the 8th build of that character. Not sure yet what I'll be doing next, might return to the Ycikle build. Or maybe Raulkn.

A Very Few of My Characters

You'll notice that I've started creating very extensive logs of my characters which I post with my charsheets. Outside of a DitL, these are the most extensive accounts of characters.

Solorin: Hi, sorry to bother you. I was just wondering if that dazzle ability is the same as what the pearl 'Nimphelos' does. Thank you. Organic, huh? Good luck. Mabye you could find it interesting, if you also thought of it as a game. Although, I admit if I had discovered Tome in those days, I daresay I probrably wouldn't have been as focused. ;)
