Introduction

DitL-ing! Done the first installment, up to the end of the Barrow-Downs. Hopefully it's not too bad a reading. Sorry for mistakes, but my english isn't very good :( .

More than a hundred years ago, in a little Petty-Dwarves' village, borned the fifth child of the smith, his first female.

Her father was so happy! You can't even imagine, she was his first daughter! She grew up loved by all, but unfortunatly she was a bit naughty and harsh with foreigners, so that they avoided her if they could.

For this she was always by her own, and spoke as few as possible, and lived lonely for some years. Then, maybe for she thought she found love, or for she was tired of being lonely, she married with one that had for long been one of her best friends. And this was her first mistake, and so, after some years of washing, cooking, arguing and ironing, she had enough of this life and left her home, deciding she'd have devoted the rest of her life in the Quest.

So Fard, the Female Atheist Skeleton Petty-Dwarf Haftedmaster (really a neverending description!), went to Bree.

The travel was a bit tiring, so at first she went to the inn for a drink. Nobody really seemed to like her, and all sit far from her table. Thus she got her poor charisma. With her grim face and tendency to arguing, she was one of the best hagglers in town, and no store-owner was even a match for her, and after a quick peek to the Mayor's Office, she decided boldly to clean up the town from those bloody thieves. And in fact they fell one next to the other, unable to even scratch her. She returned to the Mayor with a new dagger and some good arrows, that she sold for about 1000 gold pieces. Not bad as a start!

Happy with her new house, after cleaning it she started diving. The first quest was for 5 Zombified Kobolds... sincerely, she thought they were thougher, and the princess, admiring her strenght, offered her a Full Plate Armor... how could she resist? So she took it, and it come out to be a wonderful Elevn Full Plate Armor (-3 accuracy) [25,+17] (+2 to stealth). Not bad, useless stealth and a bit heavy, but good! :D

Stairs down to meet 14 Novice Mindcrafters, all willing to flee in front of her savage blows. "Oh, well, they're really cowards!", she thought. This princess was a bit unpolite, and without thanking her very much she offered a short bow and other crappy items. Fard went for the bow, who was a Short Bow of Accuracy (+9,+7). It seemed far worse than that!

Again, down, and first FumbleFinger for 20 Cave Lizards, that she killed for some Magic-Device. Smeagol was around too, and she had some trouble killing him, for he was always stealing gold and disappearing... but at the end he died, dropping his ring and a nice Armour of Resistance [6,+15].

Another princess (12 Black Mambas) gave her a Battle Axe, and Fard recalled to town for the first time to sell everything.

Back again, for 5 skeleton orcs she got a good Broad Sword, and headed for the 6th level, where Wormtongue was waiting for her. The worse thing was that it was an "open" level, but luckily Worm was still at home when she knocked at the door. His bad behaviour made him rob her, but then she got angry and piercing him with some arrows sent him to knock at the heaven's door. The princess was very relived, and after many a "Thanks!" gave her a Broad Spear (*Defender*)!

Then she killed 12 Bloodshot Icky Things (or whatever) and Bullroarer for a nice Mouse Fur of Protection.

Orfax, son of Boldor, was waiting in a hall of the 8th level, and decided to rest there in peace. She recalled home to sell everything, purchased some id scrolls and: "Blast! That bastard gave me a Shadow Blade of Morgul! Brrr... fortunatly it was only in my backpack...!". While id-ing she saw that actually one of the things Wormtongue dropped was an artifact: The scimitar 'Haradekket'!! Not bad at all!

Down again, Mindcraft for 15 Bandits, then again Magic-Device for 15 Stone Golems, and finally, at level 10, 13 Druids (and Brodda) were worth another boost to Mindcraft.

"Back to town to haggle a bit!!"

At the end of Barrow-Downs she was pretty happy for what she found, and had managed to gain some good money. "With this, I'll be able to get some nice furniture for my new house in Bree! I didn't know this killing was so rewarding!"

MayLith: A fun read, especially as I'm running my first Haftedmaster. :) Lucky you that you got Mindcraft so early (or is that normal for Petty-dwarves? Mine's a reg. dwarf.) You do realize you're not getting the Haftedmaster benefits with Aranruth, right? (Fantastic find, btw!)

Also: I put in a bunch of carriage returns where it seemed you meant to make new paragraphs, and took out (well, altered) one "d" word.
