Module Ideas
Interesting Ideas I'd like to use
Not sure it's actually possible to do all of what follows, actually. If someone happens to know something it's not doable please tell me!
Characters
- Ability to control more than just one character / other characters
- Multiple-branched skill tree (some of your chioces leads to different new skills for the skill tree)
- Moral alignment
Dungeons
CharacterLevel-dependant MonsterLevel in some dungeons
Matrix dungeons (BlackSmurf, see http://forum.t-o-m-e.net/viewtopic.php?t=4964)
Side dungeons available after finding a map (RavenRed, see http://forum.t-o-m-e.net/viewtopic.php?t=2564)
Towns
- More people actually doing something in the towns
- New stores
Equipment
- Equipment sets
Differentiated Weaponmastery Effects (RavenRed, see IdeaArchive/Differentiated Weaponmastery Effects)
Items with skill modifiers (RavenRed, see IdeaArchive/Items and Skills *long*)
- Different kinds of armour (a bit like in World of Warcraft)
Special flasks of oil (Fubar Obfusco, see http://forum.t-o-m-e.net/viewtopic.php?t=1701)
- Ability to merge items to create new items
Other
- Corruptions (still to be decided)
- Fates (still to be decided)
Chatter
Well, for the extreme version of multi-branched skill tree, you might try Dragonball T. I suspect we're about to get a bugfix version, though, and you might want to wait for that.
FedericoOdorizzi: Glad to hear about that, I'll have a look at it as soon as the bugfix comes out.
For controlling multiple characters, well, it depends on exactly what you mean. If you're meaning a good AI that takes orders well, we have most of that already. If you mean actually directl giving commands to each character, that seems like it might get awfully annoying. If you mean a party of characters represented by a single icon... well, that could be interesting, I suppose...Hmmm...
FedericoOdorizzi: I was thinking of swapping characters; of course when the player swaps from one to another the AI would get control over the other one. Having a party of characters represented by a single icon could be interesting indeed and I'll probably have to do it, at least for wilderness travel.
