Introduction
Gildor is a Mandos-worshipping Thaumaturgist. He's going to max Thaumaturgy and Magic, that I know for sure - beyond that is anyone's guess. Depends on the benevolence of FF (or, by extension, the RNG). Gildor is a Theme character, but this is the 2.3.0 CVS version of the game engine (and the corresponding version of the module) and oh boy, does it ever play like 2.3.0.
Chatter
His Spirituality (and thus saving throw) is abysmal, but I'm waiting. I'm waiting for a lot of things - FF for one, Mandos (with the quests) for the other. He had a bit of bad luck with the first God quest, which he received at clvl16 - the quest dungeon was all the way in the north-east, amongst ice squares. He kept getting ambushed and barely escaped, so he didn't actually complete the first quest until he was already above clvl20. Unlikely that I'll get all the quests now (there are 7 available in Theme, but the probability is exactly the same as in standard ToME - we'll see, I guess.)
I can't properly macro his spells yet, because I don't want to spend all the effort of getting used to a keypress for my most powerful and least mana-costly spells just to have to change it when he gains a better spell later. So I'm waiting for clvl50 before I macro, so the going is slow-ish. His most favourite spell right now is a View - Water spell (5d44 damage, power 9) - excellent for wiping out whole rooms of critters. He has to be careful and dismiss friendlies, because Mandos really hates you killing the friendly spirits, and he's been meeting a lot of those for some reason. His second most favourite spell is a force beam (3d24 damage, power 13) - it's been invaluable in the orc caves so far.
...and dead again. (Self-censored) Necromancers! >.<
Well, now I've tried all the new Valar in Theme. Now the tweaks and new Valar can commence.
