Thorongil is a Dunadan Ranger worshipping Ulmo. He is a Theme ranger, which means he has Trapping and Summoning - I'm playtesting the class to see if I should bring the summoning modifier down. Thorongil will be raising his Archery (without specialising), Combat, Summoning, Divination, and (less so) Nature (he gets a bonus to Nature from Ulmo). Hoping to get prayer skill up somewhat via God quests. If FF gives symbiosis, he'll take it, but he won't take it further than HP and whatever attacks the symbiote provides automatically.
Chatter
I'm posting him this early because he just went down to the Barrow-downs and got the whip 'Lasher' from the Princess at 50' - for killing six measly Giant White ticks! Either he's going to die a gruesome death soon, or it was a sign to go further. The next level (Barrow-downs 2) has Grima the Wormtongue molesting the poor princess, so the rPoison from Lasher will be very helpful. Now I need to get myself a home and make some better ammo.
So he did the Bree house quest, and got a Vampiric dagger out of that. Using the money from selling it, he buys a potion of Self Knowledge at the Black Market and finds out that he's ... unlucky. o.O If only all unlucky characters were as lucky as this one, heh.
...and sure enough, the RNG bided its time, but got its revenge for Lasher. Thorongil got through the Barrow-downs okay, then he went for his first God quest... and... was killed by a wall. Literally. The walls in Ulmo's temple are actually swift waterfalls, and one can walk over them, but with serious water damage. Thorongil accidentally stepped on one of the walls, got confused, and in two turns he was dead. Sigh.

NeilStevens: why?
FuriousOne: Why not? DarkGod asked Pav to let Theme and T-Plus dumps be posted on the ladder; seems counter-intuitive to not take advantage of it. Are there any drawbacks to posting on oook that I should know about?
NeilStevens: One big one is that you don't get a history. The Ladder only saves the most recent sheet for each character, which makes looking back on a discussion harder. I also wonder what you think the advantages are of posting there instead of here, especially since you already had pages made for some characters.
FuriousOne: Good point, about history. I suppose it doesn't matter much for the characters I had on here, since they are all dead. The old character sheets are still viewable through diffs, even though I've removed the most recent ones. The discussion isn't inhibited by the dump being on oook, plus I doubt that these dead guys will get much discussion anyway, heh. What's the advantage of oook posting? Exposure for modules in particular and ToME in general, I would say. You do make a good point about history, though - for future characters, I'll start with posting and updating them here, then if/when they die or win, move em over to oook.
