Garzahd: I ran the new level Machine on my Sorceror for the first time today, and found two things that were unusual. I'm not sure if they're bugs or even problems with the level, so I'll post here rather than guess the wrong page.

1) In the trapped switchback area in the left middle of the map, a glass wall appeared under a trap I disarmed (using a staff). The area in question looks like this:

##########.#
#....#...#.#
#^^#^#^#^#.#
#^^#^#^#:#.#
#^^#^#^#.#.#
#+.#...#...#
############

where : is the glasswall. I'm aware that sand+fire=glass, but manathrust was my only weapon. Are there monsters that can create both sand and fire?

I was finally able to navigate this area (and confirm that it is the intended path) by swap-positioning to a monster past the glasswall. I suppose swapping should be disabled on special levels, I guess that's a separate issue.

2) As I was about to pick up the final boots, I crossed a "blazing fire" tile and:

The blazing fire burns you! Your Fireproof Tome of Knowledge {@m3} was destroyed!

Say what? Does blazing fire do damage that is not considered fire? Fortunately I have a backup unfireproofed book, so it's not a huge setback, but this seems rather alarming for future plans in Mount Doom.

NeilStevens: You think that's bad? I've died twice on mount doom because of that, heh.

Garzahd: Then perhaps Spoilers/Damage Types should be updated to say something about that being a different damage type?

PatashuPatashu: Glass walls are a native terrain type for Machine so traps can be replaced by them. No, it shouldn't do that.
