What is IRC

IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat. IRC is a multi-user, multi-channel chat system that is run on a Network. It gives people all over the world the ability to talk (type) to one another in real time. Each user has a nickname (handle) and converses with other users either in private or on a channel (chat room). If you need more information about IRC then have a look at this introduction for the novice.

IRC for ToME

If you are interested in talking to people about ToME then you have a choice of servers that you can go onto:

Anyway both are linked by a bot named Frodo, so you can choose whichever you want and still see everything. To see who's on the other side, use the IRC command /msg Frodo who

The channel is low traffic with low hassle. We have only one major rule: Keep political discussions, advertisements, jokes, and commentary out (even in quit messages). In certain parts of the world, like the United States, these matters can be too stressful to be appropriate for this environment. Do not assume everyone agrees with your position, so don't even tell what you think is a harmless political joke. Thank you.

Users wanting to chat may also be interested in the XMPP chat room available.

IRC for TomeNET

If you are interested in talking to people about TomeNET then you can join the #tomenet channel on the WorldIRC server.

TobiasParker- I am seriously not being a smart ass, but isn't singling out The US while saying the above is kind of the same thing as what your saying not to do.

NeilStevens: Well, let's put it this way, I'm just explaining why I put the rule in place. If the rule weren't in place, the channel would get very ugly at times.

Aerdan: I don't particularly like Rizon [they allow a large quantity of illegal filesharing channels, and also packeted a network out of existence at one point], so may I suggest irc.atheme.net?
