MayLith: This idea was inspired by this thread on the forum.
While it would have been more useful before the size of the Mathom house was expanded, it might still be fun:
A Trophy Room, where you can show off the grisly remains (corpses or hacked meats) of your vanquished enemies. The Trophy Room can only contain remains.
Personally, I think that once you mount a trophy, you can't take it back down again. I.e., you can't use it to store a supply of corpses if you are a Possessor, or a bunch of hacked meats if you are into Beast-master quests. (I think otherwise it'd make it waaay too easy!)
Perhaps a quest to gain the Trophy Room, too...
MassimilianoMarangio: Now I understand the beastmaster much better, he tries to finish his collection...
Well this does exist in a (poor) form in ToME already... try ~ then 2 (is it 2?) to see what uniques you've killed, you can then get the info on them using the recall function. Personally I thought that EyBand had the best histroy viewer out there, I'd be soooo happy if that functionality got built into ToME
MayLith: Oh, of course... but the kill list doesn't show flavors of monsters. Anyway, I'm not personally into trophyism (ahem -- aside from a raw meat in my Mathom house that was more significant for the fact that I survived hacking it), but I thought it might be amusing.
NeilStevens: Corpses don't remember ego types, either.
MayLith: Duh... *smacks self*
ChrisAmes: What the trophy room should do is keep your 20 corpses/hacked meat from the most powerful (say highest level) monsters or uniques, and old ones get destroyed. So only your best trophies get kept!
MayLith: If you want to fix the content limit at 20. AFAIK, in the newer version of the game, the house content limit has been greatly expanded. While I think I rather like your idea, too, Christopher, what if you had a dreadful battle with Smeagol or Wormtongue early in the game and wanted to keep the corpse. Some folks feel that way; others don't, of course, but if you lived into mid-game, those corpses would be quickly erased.
VagaBond: There should be a possibility to write notes for every trophy. This way you would be able to recall even the most ancient great battles. ("Why the heck did I put this shrieker mushroom in the trophy room?")
MayLith: ToME, meet MUSH.... <eg>
DarkGod: 300 is able to contain a monster in an object, so corpses wont lose ego type(or anyrthing for that matter)
MayLith: Cool!
