Eyangband dumps the uniques that the player has killed into the character dump. I think that would be a nice feature to add to TOME.
NeilStevens: No comment on the idea, but I do have two style notes for the record. First, it's a "character sheet" not a "character dump." Second, it's ToME not TOME.
thanks,
TheFalcon: I'm sure "character dump" is an accepted term (even if it is "unofficial", and I'm perfectly happy to go into that debate, even if it is off-topic
) for what he means, and perhaps more accurate than "character sheet" which I (and I admit I may be mistaken) take to mean the limited in-game character pages collectively, without the additions made in the "dumping". Hmm, looking at that I'm no longer sure... I guess I use "character sheet" for the other as well. Oh well, that was a waste of typing... but I personally find "dump" acceptable, umm... why shouldn't I?
NeilStevens: The wrong term is the wrong term. The thing is called a character sheet. That's what it says, that's what it is. "Character dump" does not appear in the ToME 2.3.3(CVS) sources, and the use of that incorrect term could throw people off if not corrected. That's all my comment is for: to clarify for some future reader who might be misled.
Anywho - a comment on the idea: it would make the "character dump" rather longer than it already is, and it's already pretty long with inventories, and home contents and what-not. But in the end, it depends I guess on how much analysis people want to do on their games. You could make it an option... :p
PeterWiersig: And ToME already puts that info in another file: PLAYER.nte (or whatever you use for your savegame name) has the list of dead uniques.
NeilStevens: Few people keep that with their records though. Of course, in Eyangband, uniques are a major measure of character development. In ToME we have plot to do that, and major plot developments are recorded on the sheet.
