KhymChanur: While Precognition is very cool, it can generate a slew of uninteresting messages during level generation. The user should be able to configure what message to receive or not, yet we don't want to add yet another options menu. One simple method for allowing the user some controll would be via inscriptions on the equipment the player is wearing. If a "!P" is inscribed on an item being worn, then non-artifact messages about objects that fill that item's slot will be suppressed, unless the item is really good. For instance, if the body-armor being worn is inscribed with "!P", then no messages concerning soft body armor, hard body armor, or dragon scale mail will be generated, unless the object has the "immunity" ego or is power dragon scale mail. If a user inscribed all of their worn equipent with "!P", it would supress a large majority of the messages Precognition spews out, making it easier to find more interesting information. But if the user is still looking for, say, a Cloak of Air, then they can leave their cloak without a "!P" to get ego messages for cloaks.
