MayLith: Interesting! Might be very handy for warrior types who have high CON, zapping with low-cost rod tips like Trap Detection.
JaekTheBarbarian: How would that work with a rod of Healing? Would it just effectively triple the number of heals you could get and lower the effectiveness a bit? (I've never gotten a rod of the Istari so I don't know how they compare...) Also, while I think it's a good idea, the name "of Draining" doesn't seem to describe the effect accurately. Perhaps, instead of "The Golden Rod of Draining of Nothing" it could be "The Gold Rod of Self-Sacrifice of Nothing." IMHO, Draining sounds more like it affects mana.
Orvin: Would probably want to disallow rods of draining (or self-sacrifice) of healing.
