A little more variety for the random quests:

1. Collect pieces of stone tablet for a Monk- Small stackable items are generated on level (some in monster inventories, some on floor). Player must collect all of the pieces. Monster-carried pieces are on specifically generated beasts that are slow to wake up (and quest flagged to make sure they don't get lost). Quest pieces are automatically stolen if a character has the stealing skill and attempts to steal from a monster. Reward is a bonus to the Spirituality skill (3 skill points worth) and to sanity (+10).

2. Save the Prince- He's looking for the Princess too. Fortunately, she's safe in her glass cage, he's about to get himself killed by the defenders. Works like a normal princess quest, but the coaligned Prince must survive. If he croaks, it's just a normal princess quest with only two options instead of three. If he lives, you get a permanent bonus of +10 hit points instead of the standard reward. Leaving the level and coming back resurrects him.

3. The Collector- There's a dwarf here who is hiding the stairway and won't go away until you give him what he's looking for. The item in question is some sort of randart generated based on the character's skills (i.e. a Swordmaster would be asked to find a sword). You can either bring him the item, which he'll pay you for in gold and xp or show him the item and keep it for yourself to move him out of the way and he then promptly steals gold from you (100% success). The item is hidden in a vault with little else (terrain formation is the quest generated area, the collector never shows up on screen).

4. Ambush!- The area where the player enters the level is surrounded by monsters, like a reversed Princess quest. If the player succeeds in defeating the attacking monsters, they receive additional xp. If the character is already level 50, they receive +2 skill points.

5. Forge of the Valar- On this level there is a legendary smith, like a stationary scroll of artifact creation. The problem is that the forge's fire has gone out, and the player must visit Mount Doom to get fire to restart the forge (Doomfire items would spawn as random treasure at Mt. Doom), visit the sunken ruins to get water for quenching (just visit with an empty vial in inventory), and visit Erebor for coal (again, an item that spawns as random treasure there). If the player returns to the level with these three items and visits a shop-like structure that spawns there, they can have their artifact made.
