I think that at highest levels of stealth, your character could pass by monsters unoticed. In game terms : "Push past monsters".

It could be a 'm' power to turn on or off, and when turned on, you would push past sleeping monsters as you would with your pets (my first idea was to litteraly pass through monsters, on the same tile, but I don't think the game engine would comply ;-). To attack sleeping monsters when using it, you just can use 'Ctrl' + a direction.

That would allows very stealthy chars to move more freely.

RavenRed: I REALLY like this idea. Rather than a high-level ability, it should be fairly low (perhaps at L20), BUT there should be a significant penalty to stealth in the push-past (therefore tempting the player to use "slug-like" stealth, with the obvious penalties should someone wake up). Did I mention that I REALLY like this idea?

ChrisAmes: That would be AWESOME, fun, and it makes sense! I basically agree with what RavenRed says, except I think if you fail and wake up a sleeping monster by pushing past it, the said monster should get a bonus to hit on the first few rounds it attack?

Sly: Yeah, you're right, leaving it accessible to mid levels, BUT pushing past has a relatively high chance of agravating the monster (i.e waking AND speeding) that decrease with stealth level.
