Kalirion: Shouldn't there be a way to identify traps without triggering them? If not by a spell, then at least the Disarming skill should be of use here. This could be implemented in two ways I can think of: a power that identifies traps that gets better as the skill level increases (Level 10: ID one adjacent trap. Level 20: ID one detected trap in line of sight. Level 30: ID all detected LOS traps. Level 40: Know all traps as soon as you see them.) Of course this might be a bit silly since, for most traps, once identified you'd always recognize them. Another, and probably more sensible idea, would be to have a skill-based chance of identifying any trap disarmed manually.

LordEstraven: Gender-switch traps will be removed in ToME 3, and can be removed in 2.3.x by modification of tr_info.txt.
