NerdanelVampire: Some people may have noticed that I don't like change, at least unless the change is a clear improvement. Targetting has been luafied, but there are problems with it, like the arrow key navigation not behaving how it used to be so that getting the cursor where it's supposed to be is now much harder, and the square-by-square look mode has problems. And the more wordy messages added to the atmosphere.

Sure these things can be fixed, but I noticed that what I really want is the old C targetting back. (I don't much care either way about showing a spell's path, and the other things bother me.) Some time ago I discovered a bug that in some cases bumped the targetting back into the C mode (a beneficial bug!) so the old targetting apparently still exists, or existed a while ago.

DarkGod: It does still exists indeed. Instead of resisting changes and using old unmaintainable code because a few things are not exactly as they were, you should help us pinpoint what exactly is wrong so it can be fixed(you can even provide patches :> ) Messages are fully customizable by the module, so you can do whatever you want with them. Square-by-square has what problems?

NerdanelVampire: Look at my BugReport740

DarkGod: It only speaks of weird arrow behavior, what about square-by-square and such? Anyway the old C code will break someday simply because it was already broke. It cannot handle what modules will do and it is a true mess.

NerdanelVampire: I can't replicate the square-by-square problem. My insomnia might just have been impairing my cognitive ability...
