ShrikeDeCil: A Major and a Master Sergeant both dropped 'a pair of combat boots' for me on level 14. (After I'd trekked down to 21 & back looking for gear. Specifically a darn gun). So... I have two sets - somehow one set wasn't squelched.
As a side note: there's a couple of things in here that are 'fully identified', so we see the base AC & bonus. And a couple that aren't (combat boots). But the AC counter seems to reflect the AC change anyway (when it updates).
NeilStevens: Yeah, the squelching only checks the player's inventory. Once we get persistent levels I can make the squelching complete.
If you can figure out when items aren't getting fully identified (everything is *supposed* to be fully identified), it'd help, thanks.
ShrikeDeCil: Am I looking for _when_ the item isn't properly identified? Or which items? If it is which items:
- a pair of combat boots
- tactical helmet
- a baseball cap
- a pair of tennis shoes
have no [+x,+y] for me. All the weapons seem to end up "properly" id-ed. (Although, as you noted, the sabre could use a minor boost, fighting the higher sergeants with this sucker sucks.) I think the leather jacket and the body armor come out properly IDed.
NeilStevens: I'll probe around, thanks! Update: Fixed in 1.1
