Description
A VERY preliminary version of my Narnia module. It resets TOME in C.S. Lewis's world of Narnia. Currently, I have created almost entirely new races, and a couple of new skills, as well as a new overland map. All new races also have a help file, although there are some typos. The dungeons are not really ready, except for the first one, and the races and new class need some serious tweaking. Monsters, items, and artifacts need a serious overhaul, but that has not yet been done. Anyone willing to help would be welcome.
Have made some improvements, but some Tolkien cities still appear, and the monsters are still from normal ToME. Should fix some problem some were having before, though.
Current Features
- Almost all-new races and a new Scholar main class
- Two new skills: Item Lore and Scroll Preservation
- New racial abilities for the Mole, Hag, and Cruel.
- All new wilderness
- New first main dungeon, Castle of the White Witch, with a nice entrance "town" that lets you actually walk into the castle.
- New optional dungeon: Lantern Waste with the White Stag as the guardian
- Two new (partially completed) gods: Aslan and the Nature Goddess
- Two "new" towns (really just edits of ToME towns): Beaver's Dam and Beruna
- Help files for most of the new races and classes
Features in the next release
- All races updated for ToME 2.3.*
- New skills, abilities, and sub-classes from other modules
- Brand new skills and abilities--Bargaining and Medicine
- Classes revised with the new skills and abilities. Scholar class will expecially be edited.
- New subclasses, Medic(Warrior), Profiteer(Loremaster), Healer(Priest), My version of the Archeologist(Scholar), and the Headmaster(Scholar)
Upcoming Features
- One unique sub-class for each race not usable by any other, including the Gamesmaster(Bear Warrior), Weaponmaster(Human Warrior), Seer(Centaur Scholar), Master-Doctor(Half-Dwarf Scholar), Reepicheep Knight(Mouse Warrior), and Stalker(Cruel Rogue)
- Swimming system/skill that will depend on race. Mice, for instance, will need the swimming skill to travel through even shallow water, while Giants will be able to wade through all but the deepest water without need of swimming.
- New sub-class, my version of the Gambler(Rogue) with my version of the gambling skill.
- Option to gamble in any tavern or inn and at other places. New gambling items, dice and loaded dice and cards and marked cards, usable in these places. Casino options replaced with lua scripted versions. This will allow the gambling skill to effect your chances. Having too much success at gambling will make it harder to gamble. At the common inns, however
- New gambling items with strange effects.
- New ablilites--Fated and Charming. Fated will cause strange things to happen around you, many of them good and a few bad, and Charming will cause creatures of the opposite gender to be friendlier to you.(Neutrals are just out of luck) Each is based on one of my new skills, Gambling, and Bargaining.
