Description
Some detractors of T-Plus object to the mixture of themes in that module, but Tales of Three Worlds will take that mixture and add a coherent plot. Essentially, when the Valar reshaped Arda to keep the Numenoreans out of the west, the result was more warped than Eru had hoped for. Now dimensional gates exist between Middle-earth and two other worlds, each one with its own cultures and spirit-lords. An ancient evil has begun forging alliances between the dark powers in all three worlds, hoping to raise a single malevolent army which will help it take over the entire cosmos. It's up to the player to shatter the New Alliance, confront the evil that founded it, and restore the Three Worlds to their proper place in space-time.
What does this new plot mean in game terms? It means that Morgoth and company will still threaten Arda...but he will have help from two totally unrelated settings. It means that two other temptations (besides the One Ring) can turn the player into a pawn of the New Alliance. It also means that the ultimate villain (as yet unnamed) is an alien threat, native to no pre-existing fictional setting.
