My first encounter with roguelikes was around five years ago, when i first saw Adom on a gaming site. I decided to try it out and i died immediately 20 or so times, losing interest. But it was too late: the seeds were planted already. I returned to it after a few times, playing, learning, and searching for other roguelikes. I've tried Nethack, Dungeon Crawl, Omega, Rogue, Ultrarogue, Angband (and many of its variants too) and finally, ToME (1.something, i can't remember).
Since then i essentially settled with it (though sometimes i still like Crawl), and while i've never won (yet!), after so many years i've managed to at least understand how to survive Barrows-down and maybe get some deeper...
About Me
I like fantasy since i was 14 (third LoR reading so far :)), and discovered more recently computer graphics, mostly Poser, my other hobby. I am not very good at speaking about myself (but you did figure that out by yourselves, did you? 
)

Game habits:
Clearing away the whole level (it looks like we are many...) - exception: the Submerged Ruins and Illusion Castle (they're waaaay too boring to explore fully!)
- Forget missile weapons, only using them for bonuses (boomerangs are great for that!)
- Not scumming for artifacts - i like fast play, so i go with whatever the RNG throws at me
Stupidest death: Only one? Mmmm... This is recent. I had a death fate at level 11, so i thought: "I'll just enter Mirkwood, do level 10 and the use the Thunderlords nest to skip level 11"... but Mirkwood start at level 11!!!! Well, i had an interesting opinion exchange with Gothmog at least.
Stupidest bad game habit: Forgetting to detect traps after teleporting.
