Introduction

A character focusing on elemental control. Almost everything except for the elemental master dies in one round to either a 7d48 acid shot or a 6d32 lightning bolt (both at 0% fail rate). Those are almost the only spells I have ever used. I kept playing until I could get the cold spell but have never yet used it. The only way I damaged the elemental master was with the lightning bolt. He just shrugged of f the acid shot. Creeping oozes also required the lightning bolt. I stayed at character level - 4 dungeon level until I was at level 6 or 7 and then started diving faster.

Green Imps were not a big problem, because I could hit them with an acid shot and not worry about it. I never faced them after a battle with a lot of other monsters though. I didn't modify my tactics, shoot everything that moves and then wait for mana to regen, for anything except the elemental master after I had gained a few levels. I explored every corner of each level and never left a forge without using it, except for once when I was a low level. This character was the result of several previous failed attempts.

EtMarc: Interesting character. I wonder how well he fared whenever a monster attacked him in melee. Maybe elemental control is a tad too strong, but as long as your character need to manage his spell points I guess he is not overpowered.

I don't know if you have found it, but there was a bug in 0.1.3 : Acid Shot made same damage as Lightning, instead of the showed damage. But that doesn't seem to have slowed you down.

SaricRitzden: I had to constantly watch his spell points, particularly at first. The last few levels were not so bad but it got close a few times. After the start, I rarely was close enough to get hit in melee. The acid shot at the end only cost 12 spell points if I remember correctly, and so I had about 25 shots before I ran out of mana. Whenever grassmen started to swarm me, I would find a corridor and run down it and fire a lightning back at them. Then I would wait until they filled it up and repeat.
