Deathwatch
Deathwatch is a Special Level on DL21 of the Orc Caves. Here is available /Map of Deathwatch.
It consists of a few passages and several large rooms, as well as some barracks-like structures, and is populated by Orcs of all kinds except Elite Uruks, and a few Ogres.
Hidden in this level are three very useful artifacts: In the very NE corner is the Leather Scale Mail 'Thalkettoth'; in the NE corner of the nothern barracks is the Main Gauche of Maedhros; and in the east of a room in the south is the Set of Leather Gloves 'Cammithrim'.
Several unique orcs are generated here, and there are some secret passages here too. One of the passages is actually blocked by granite so digging is mandatory to get out by the down stairs (up always available). Maybe the Ring of Flare would work, but don't count on it! A spectral weapon works as well - this gives wraithform and you can pass through the wall. Also, you cannot teleport on this level.
Good searching and digging are recommended if you wish to exit down the stairs to the next level. Otherwise, after you have reaped your rewards, you can recall out, or go back up the stairs and back down again.

Q: Can you get all 3 artifacts if you can't dig?
A: You can get all 3 artifacts, but they are behind hidden doors. Switch to slug-like movement and start searching (or use detection magic) if some of the hidden doors were not opened by the orcs (see the /Map).
FeathinSilyar: There are no orcs beyond the granite wall, so the Ring of Flare wouldn't work for getting past it. Unless you somehow get an orc to teleport/be teleported there.
VagaBond: You can create void jumpgates with RoF. Probably that would work.. But I usually find RoF much later than I finish this level.
Steve: I was a fool, and recalled out of this level (thinking I could get back to it). Are those 3 artifacts lost to me now?
