Gondolin is having difficulties with Dragons. Turgon (located in the central courtyard) gives you the quest to get rid of them. The quest has danger level "25" but you might want to wait until level 30 before tackling it.
The Dragon infested building is in the West side of Gondolin, North of the main entrance, shown by a yellow '>'. Upon entering you find yourself in the top left corner of a smallish level, surrounded by hard stone ('mountain chain'), with some pillars of the same stuff in the room.
Monsters: Dragons! There is a fairly equal distribution of 'baby', 'young' and 'mature' in the room, but beware, as the occasional ancient dragon has been known to appear. Some of them tend to converge on the player immediately, but others remain sleeping in the background.
The best tactics here are to hide behind the pillars to avoid the breath attacks, then melee them, or to take them out using ranged attacks before they get to you, depending on character.
You simply need to kill all the dragons to complete the quest, and a stairway appears in the bottom right corner. Go back to Turgon to register the completion, and the building becomes your house as a reward.

Cazort: I have done this quest many times with no trouble, often at levels where I would consider the quest very risky, but recently I lost a perfectly good level 26 warrior: an ancient multi-hued was generated right next to me. Double resists weren't enough, I was killed in one hit. I would recommend being extremely cautious about this quest.
NeilStevens: Has anyone ever gotten two AMHDs? It's actually possible: each dragon in the cave has a 1 in 100 chance of being ancient, and then a 1 in 8 chance of being multi-hued. With 25 dragons:

BucketMan: I don't think I've ever seen two at once. I would have remembered. My possessors routinely scum this quest for corpses. I usually settle for mature multi-hueds, though. AMHD's are way too infrequent, and mature multi-hueds tend to better than solid color ancients.
Sirrocco: Really? I also scum it for corpses, but I tend to prefer ancient bronze when I can get them. The speed, health, and 1 mana confusing breath weapon that no one resists entirely - these are good things. I'm also fond of having a breath weapon I can throw around without having to worry about destroying gear or mucking up the flooring. On the other hand, my record isn't all that impressive, so I'm always willing to learn. What is it about mature multi-hueds that makes them better here?
BucketMan: It's mostly about the resistences. It's difficult to get full resistence coverage in a dragon body, especially by level 30 or so when I'm ready to start thinking about Mordor. A Mature MH gives you base4+poison, and I find that tends to give more survivavility than the +10 speed that an Ancient dragon gives. On the other hand, if resistences aren't a concern, I can't see much reason to choose any basic Ancient over a Storm Giant. Yes, you still miss out on the +10 speed, but Storm Giants have teleport-to, which is basically a gaurunteed get-away-from-anything, they also have more HP than anything up until an AMHD, and much more forgiving equipment slots than a dragon.
Sirrocco: Ah - see, I generally run with 99 princess quests, and I tend to clear out every dungeon I have access to, which means I'll often have a decent base 4 by that point. On the other hand, I almost never have a source of speed. The thing that Storm Giants don't have is a breath weapon. I pretty much run my possessors with the intent of dealing damage via direct possessor powers, and a breath weapon helps a lot in that - particularly in terms of damage-to-mana ratios. Mind you, if a storm giant has anything comparable, I'll certainly look into one, but I was not under the impression tha they did.
