The world of ToME offers many races of creatures you can choose from in order to create your character. Each of them has pros and cons. Some races are restricted as to what profession they may be, and each race has its own adjustments to a character's stats and abilities. Most races have intrinsic abilities, which can be accessed via the "U" command.

Furthermore, there are also Subraces which will further define your character.

Experimental races are shown in italics.
