Which theme do you use?
Well, this will be the first 'forum like post'.
Basically I want to know which 'theme' do you use? I liked the dark one, but then the rumour on the recentchanges page could not really be read, so now I am on 'rightsidebar' or whatever the name is.
KjellHeskestad: I like the classic one because of its nice and simple layout. I'm working on a custom stylesheet so that I can have some different colors.
MassimilianoMarangio: I'm also still using the classic theme.
ReenenLaurie: I was on classic, then I moved to rightsidebar, but I am also back on classic as I like the 'history' like thing that you have on classic. The other one didn't have that.
Kjell -> this is a CSS thing right? Can you add pictures to it as well? 'Cause I wouldn't mind the wiki looking very much like the forums.
KjellHeskestad: Sure, it's no problem to have background textures. My CSS is a bit rusty, though, so if anyone else would like to have a go on that one, please do. Actually, I stopped tweaking my stylesheet when I discovered the lettError stylesheet. It's delicious!
KjellHeskestad: If you look in your UserPreferences, you can change the display theme, or even supply your own CSS stylesheet to select your own colours.
The optional comment shows up in RecentChanges as red text, and is mostly used to sum up what was changed in the document.
I agree about this becoming a long general discussion. To create a new topic in GeneralDiscussion, just make a link here (either in WikiCase, or using ["topic name"], save the page and click the link, and you can start typing your new topic.
Some comments moved to CSS/Discussion. See there and CSS for details about writing a stylesheet for your own page.
ReenenLaurie: I keep complaining about the 'white background'... Duh, I should've just changed the theme. I think that the default 'theme' should not be classic, as it is *ugly*, I am on starshine now, but it's not quite the forum when it comes to eyecandy, but will do for now. The default for user's not logged on should also not be classic (which I assume it is).
I logged off/out, and came back, but it didn't remember me.
I really liked that from the forum, and this has it as an option... but somehow it didn't remember me.
One thing I miss is the : shock : emoticon. Those eyes, I canned myself when I saw it, also the blushing one. In all the emoticons arent quite as good as those on the forum, but I'm sure that shouldn't be too hard to fix, though I dunno how.
MassimilianoMarangio: The option Remember login information forever on the UserPreferences page will increase the duration of the cookie with the login information.
ReenenLaurie: I clicked "logout" (under userprefereces on the 'rightsidebar' theme) and it said: "cookie deleted", so I guess, I should not "logout".
MassimilianoMarangio: Correct, "logout" will delete the cookie with the login information.
NeilStevens: I just changed the default theme to rightsidebar. It validates, it's easier to use, and I'm using it so it'll be easier to give user support.
People who hate the white background should use starshine. Again, new themes welcome (particularly a dark version of rightsidebar).
